Abstract

This study aims to obtain evidence in the form of the influence of the debt ratio, total
asset turnover, and net profit margin on profit growth. Companies listed on the IDX
during the period 2021-2023. Using the purposive sampling method and data
containing 118 or equivalent to 53 companies. The technique in this study uses multiple
regression analysis assisted by the IBM SPSS Statistics program version 30.0.0.0 and
Microsoft Excel Workbook. The results of this study state that the debt ratio and total
asset turnover both have no effect on profit growth and have a negative relationship.
Meanwhile, in this study the net profit margin has an effect on profit growth with a
negative relationship. The implication of this study is that the use of a good debt ratio
and maximum utilization of assets and the calculation of the correct net profit margin
can increase profit growth in equivalent companies so that it will provide a good signal
for potential investors.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh bukti yang berupa pengaruh terhadap rasio
utang, perputaran aset total, dan margin laba bersih pada pertumbuhan laba. Perusahaan
yang terdaftar di BEI selama periode 2021-2023. Dengan menggunakan metode
purposive sampling dan menggunakan data yang berisi 118 atau setara dengan 53
perusahaan.Teknik pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi berganda yang
dibantu dengan program IBM SPSS Statistic versi 30.0.0.0 dan Microsoft Excel
Workbook. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa rasio utang dan perputaran aset total
keduanya tidak memiliki pengaruh pada pertumbuhan laba serta memiliki hubungan
negatif. Sementara itu, pada penelitian ini margin laba bersih memiliki pengaruh pada
pertumbuhan laba dengan hubungan negatif. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah
penggunaan rasio utang yang baik serta pemanfaatan aset secara maksimal dan
perhitungan margin laba bersih yang tepat dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan laba di
perusahaan sehingga dapat memberikan sinyal yang baik bagi calon investor.
