(E) Abstract:
This research aims to examine the influence of entrepreneurial orientation and
entrepreneurial education on entrepreneurial intention, with entrepreneurial
motivation acting as a mediating factor among private university students in West
Jakarta. Entrepreneurial orientation, characterized by proactivity, innovation, and
risk-taking, is expected to positively impact students' entrepreneurial intentions.
Similarly, entrepreneurial education, through practical learning and theoretical
knowledge, enhances students' entrepreneurial competencies, thus strengthening
their entrepreneurial intentions. A quantitative approach was employed, using a
structured questionnaire distributed to 203 respondents. The data were analyzed
using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the
hypotheses regarding the direct and indirect effects between entrepreneurial
orientation, education, motivation, and intention. The findings indicate that both
entrepreneurial orientation and education significantly influence entrepreneurial
motivation, which in turn positively affects entrepreneurial intention. Moreover,
entrepreneurial motivation mediates the relationship between entrepreneurial
orientation and education on entrepreneurial intention. The results provide
valuable insights for educational institutions to tailor their entrepreneurship
programs to better prepare students for entrepreneurial ventures.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh orientasi kewirausahaan dan
pendidikan kewirausahaan terhadap niat kewirausahaan, dengan motivasi
kewirausahaan sebagai variabel mediasi pada mahasiswa perguruan tinggi swasta
di Jakarta Barat. Orientasi kewirausahaan yang mencakup proaktivitas, inovasi,
dan pengambilan risiko diperkirakan memiliki dampak positif terhadap niat
kewirausahaan mahasiswa. Begitu pula, pendidikan kewirausahaan melalui
pembelajaran praktis dan teori diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kompetensi
kewirausahaan mahasiswa, sehingga memperkuat niat mereka untuk
kewirausahaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan
metode survei, yang melibatkan 203 responden. Data dianalisis menggunakan
metode Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) untuk
menguji hipotesis mengenai pengaruh langsung dan tidak langsung antara
orientasi kewirausahaan, pendidikan, motivasi, dan niat kewirausahaan. Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orientasi dan pendidikan kewirausahaan
berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi kewirausahaan, yang pada gilirannya
memengaruhi niat kewirausahaan secara positif. Selain itu, motivasi
kewirausahaan terbukti memediasi hubungan antara orientasi kewirausahaan dan
pendidikan kewirausahaan terhadap niat kewirausahaan. Temuan ini memberikan
wawasan penting bagi institusi pendidikan untuk meningkatkan program kewirausahaan agar lebih efektif dalam mempersiapkan mahasiswa menjadi
wirausahawan.
