Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to examine the influence of university support and role models on students' entrepreneurial intentions at South Tangerang Universities, with self-efficacy as a mediating variable. The research employs a quantitative approach using surveys, with a sample of 268 active students. A descriptive research design was applied, using non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS version 4 to test the relationships between variables in the proposed model. The results indicate that both university support and self-efficacy have a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial intentions. On the other hand, role models did not show a significant influence on entrepreneurial intentions. However, both university support and role models positively and significantly influence the improvement of students' self-efficacy. Self-efficacy was found to play a significant mediating role in the relationship between university support, role models, and entrepreneurial intentions.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh dukungan universitas dan model panutan terhadap intensi berwirausaha mahasiswa di Universitas Tangerang Selatan melalui efikasi diri. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif melalui survei, dengan sampel sebanyak 268 mahasiswa aktif. Desain penelitian yang diterapkan bersifat deskriptif, menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling dengan purposive sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan SmartPLS versi 4 untuk menguji hubungan antar variabel dalam model yang diajukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dukungan universitas dan efikasi diri memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap intensi berwirausaha. Di sisi lain, model panutan tidak menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan terhadap intensi berwirausaha. Namun, baik dukungan universitas maupun model panutan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan efikasi diri mahasiswa. Efikasi diri terbukti berperan sebagai mediator yang signifikan dalam hubungan antara dukungan universitas serta model panutan dengan intensi berwirausaha mahasiswa.
