Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine the effect of macroeconomic variables towards
the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG). This research uses secondary data from Bank
Indonesia, the World Bank, and BPS during the period of 2005–2023. The sample is
selected using saturated sampling method and consists of 19 time series data points. The
data is processed by using EViews 12. Outputs obtained from this study indicate that
exchange rate and economic growth have a significant negative effect, while interest rate
has a significant positive effect on IHSG. On the other hand, inflation does not have a
significant effect on the IHSG.

Tujuan dari dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh makro
ekonomi terhadap IHSG. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data
sekunder dari Bank Indonesia, World Bank dan BPS pada tahun 2005-2023.
Sampel dipilih dengan menggunakan metode sampling jenuh dan data yang
diperoleh berjumlah 19 lini waktu. Data diolah dengan menggunakan EViews 12.
Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah nilai tukar dan pertumbuhan
ekonomi berpengaruh negatif signifikan, namun suku bunga berpengaruh positif
sighifikan terhadap IHSG, sedangkan inflasi tidak memberikan pengaruh yang
signifikan terhadap IHSG.
