Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel independen yang terdiri dari sales
growth, liquidity, leverage, dan firm size terhadap variabel dependen yakni financial
performance pada perusahaan sektor basic materials yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia
(BEI) periode 2021-2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan 129 data observasi yang diambil dengan
menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, serta jumlah sampel yang diperoleh sebanyak 43
perusahaan yang memenuhi kriteria yang telah ditentukan dan akan diteliti lebih lanjut. Jenis
data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder yang diperoleh dari website
resmi BEI dan website perusahaan terkait. Analisis regresi data panel adalah metode yang
digunakan untuk proses analisis data penelitian ini, dengan menggunakan software
Econometric Views (E-views) versi 12. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data yang telah dilakukan,
hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sales growth dan firm size berpengaruh positif dan
signifikan terhadap financial performance, liquidity dan leverage berpengaruh negatif dan
signifikan terhadap financial performance.

This study aims to determine the effect of independent variables consisting of sales growth,
liquidity, leverage, and firm size on the dependent variable, namely financial performance in
basic materials sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period
2021-2023. This study uses 129 observational data taken using purposive sampling technique,
and the number of samples obtained is 43 companies that meet the predetermined criteria and
will be studied further. The type of data used in this study is secondary data obtained from the
official IDX website and related company websites. Data panel regression analysis is the
method used for the data analysis process of this study, using Econometric Views (E-views)
software version 12. Based on the results of data processing that has been done, the results of
this study indicate that sales growth and firm size have a positive and significant effect on
financial performance, liquidity and leverage has a negative and significant effect on financial
performance.
