Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara empiris faktor-faktor yang
mempengaruhi tingkat underpricing yang terjadi pada perusahaan sektor barang
konsumen non primer yang melaksanakan penawaran saham perdana atau Initial
Public Offering (IPO) di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) periode 2018-2021. Sampel
yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 38 data sampel yang dipilih
menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Variabel independen penelitian terdiri
dari reputasi underwriter, firm size, board size dan profitabilitas. Hasil penelitian ini
menunjukkan bahwa variablel reputasi underwriter memiliki arah hubungan negatif
dan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tingkat underpricing. Variabel firm size dan
board size memiliki arah hubungan positif dan tidak berpengaruh signifikan
terhadap tingkat underpricing, sementara variabel profitabilitas memiliki arah
hubungan negatif dan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tingkat underpricing.

This study aims to analyze empirically the factors that influence the level of
underpricing that occurs in consumer cyclical sector companies carrying out an
Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the
2018-2021 period. The samples used in this study were 38 sample data selected
using purposive sampling method. The independent research variables consist of
underwriter’s reputation, firm size, board size and profitability. The results of this
study indicate that the underwriter's reputation variable has a negative and
significant effect on the level of underpricing. Firm size and board size variables
have a positive relationship and have no significant effect on the level of
underpricing, while the profitability variable has a negative relationship and have
no significant effect on the level of underpricing.
