Abstract
The purpose of community service is to provide an understanding of underage marriage or known by other
terms early marriage and legal marriage based on the Marriage Law No. 16 of 2019. Early marriage is a topic
that is familiar to hear, but the reality is still many people do not know clearly about the understanding and
essence of marriage which includes early marriage and legal marriage. This counseling is a form of community
service and provides understanding to the Santri of the Baitul Muttaqin Islamic Boarding School in West
Jakarta, Indonesia. There are 3 (three) stages in conducting community service, namely the preparation stage by
submitting a proposal for making materials, the stage of implementing question and answer activities after the
presentation of the material, and the final stage in the form of systematically compiling activity reports. This
Community Service was carried out directly at Baitul Muttaqin Islamic Boarding School in West Jakarta.
Presentation of material in community service activities regarding underage marriage or early marriage, the
positive and negative impacts of early marriage, legal marriage, and ta'aruf, as well as increasing
understanding of the purpose of marriage. the implementation of PKM activities increases the understanding of
marriage law for teachers of the muttaqin Islamic boarding school. The proceedings will be the result of
community service in scientific meetings for the 2022 SENAPENMAS UNTAR event and publications in the
mass media
