Abstract

The success of a construcon project could be seen based on whether the project has met the predetermined
quality requirements, within a set budget and within the scheduled me duraon. Time becomes one of the
important aspects in planning a construcon project because delay in the project can trigger various
problems. Therefore, development of duraon predicon technique could be a reliable opon to increase
predicon accuracy. The purpose of this study is to determine the relaonship between the results of the
duraon esmaon using earned schedule method with internal influence factors such as the number and
gross floor area, external influence factors such as index of educaon, technology absorpon, labor
experience, technology availability, and innovaon, and building type as dummy variable in predicng the
total duraon. The feasibility analysis showed that the equaon of duraon predicon using earned
schedule method with internal and external influence factors as well as the dummy variable gave R2 value of
0.784 which means that the independent variables used could well explain the predicon of duraon. There
is an increase in the results of the coefficient of determinaon by 2.75% in the regression analysis using
building type as dummy variable.
