Abstract
The purpose of this research was to identify what individual
investors consider when deciding to purchase stocks. The variables that
were used were advocate recommendation, social relevance and firm
image, and accounting information. This paper developed a modified
questionnaire to examine the behavior of individual investor in North,
West, and Central Jakarta for the period 2013. The show result show
several finding, that advocate recommendation and accounting
information were considered by individual investors before making
decision. On the other hand, social relevance and firm image were not
taking into consideration by individual investors.
