Abstract

Traffic jam is the one of big trouble in Indonesia, it could be happened because of vehicle
production development increase in each year who caused a traffic jam in arterial road. In order
to solve it, goverment builds highway to reduce traffic jam in arterial road. But the construction of
highway does not ensure the safety and road users comfort, because many occurred the accident
case in highway. The accidents not only happened because of driver, but it also happened because
of vehicle, environment and roads factor. Therfore the purpose of this research is to find out things
that can be fixed or added in Jakarta-Cikampek Elevated Highway. Research method which used
to analyze this research is using the form of Road Safety Audit. From the results of the study found
that the pavement, geometric roads and road markings are in good condition. However, the traffic
signs are still not good because there are some placement of the wrong signs because it is not in
accordance with the geometric of the road. Then the recommendations given to deal with these
problems must be made to create safety on the Jakarta-Cikampek II Elevated Highway.
