Abstract
Bond rating is one of the most important indicator about a company’s credit
quality. The objective of this research is to obtain empirical evidence about the
effect of firm size, profitability, coverage, and solvability on bonds rating in non
financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2016 to 2018.
The research used 30 companies that were selected using purposive sampling
method for a total of 90 data in three years. Data processed with SPSS version 25.
Ordinal logistic model is used to test the hypothesis. The results of this research
shows firm size, profitability and solvability has positive effect on bonds rating,
meanwhile coverage have no effect on bonds rating.
