Expert System is one of Artificial Intelligence methods that uses the knowledge from an expert as a knowledge base. In this research, Expert System use to diagnose dental disease by using Certainty Factor (CF) and Variable Centered Intelligent Rule System (VCIRS): Variable Usage Rate (Vur), Node Usage Rate (NUR), and Rule Usage Rate (RUR) as a supporting factors. The diagnosis in dental disease will be calculated by using an expert system based on the symptoms of the disease. The diagnosis accuracy rate achieved of 95% success. The value of the variable VCIRS will increase if the symptoms widely found.
