Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of technology,
organization, and the external environment on the business performance of MSMEs in
Jakarta through social media adoption as a mediating variable. The sample used was a
nonprobability sampling method of 50 respondents. The results of this study indicate that
technology, and organizations do not have a significant influence on social media
adoption, the external environment has a significant influence on social media adoption,
and social media adoption has a significant influence on business performance. Whereas
social media adoption is not able to significantly mediate technology, and organization on
business performance, and social media adoption can significantly mediate the external
environment to business performance.
