Abstract

The role of business people is very influential on rise and fall of the business they
founded, and also development of information technology and electronic-based trading
provide opportunities and convenience for Small and Medium business people in Indonesia to
develop and manage their businesses. Both of these can be factors that influence the level of
business sales performance. This study has a purpose to determine whether there is influence
the variables of self-directed learning (X1) from SMEs and e-commerce adoption (X2) on
business sales performance of SMEs in Jakarta. Determination of samples in this study using
non-probability sampling with total of 30 respondents. Data collection method of this study
using questionnaires. Data analysis method for testing the hypothesis uses t-test techniques
with SmartPLS 3 program. The results of this study indicate a positive effect of self directed
learning (X1) and positive effect of the e-commerce adoption (X2) on business performance (Y)
of SMEs in Jakarta.
