Abstract
"This study aims to determine self esteem as a moderator in the correlation between perceptions of physical attractiveness and body image of adolescents Korean pop fans.
The findings of this study, are as follows: (1) Perception of physical attractiveness has no significant influence on body image β (Beta) = 0.068 with sig. for 0.160 > 0.05; (2) Self-esteem significant effect on body image variables β (Beta) = 0.584 with sig. for 0.000 < alpha (0.05); and (3) Interaction variables obtained by multiplying the independent variable is the perception of physical attractiveness variables hypothesized as a moderating variable, that self-esteem does not have a significant influence on the variables of body image. Correlation interaction with body image has β (Beta) = 0.321 with sig. for (0.334) > alpha (0.05).
To that end, it does not moderate the relationship perceptions of physical attractiveness relationship with body image in adolescents Korean pop fans.
